Montezuma Smallbore Prone dates have been set. April 30th, May 14th, June 25th, July 23rd, August 20th, September 24th. All matches start at 9:00AM. Matches are 4 x 20 at 100 yards.

2006 Ten State Schedule is now available on the Illinois Highpower Website. This great resource lists Highpower matches in the ten states that border Illinois.

Iowa State Long Range Championship Truman Burch of Nebraska took top honors with a 794-35. Deb Allen was second overall with 789-37, and is the 2005 Iowa State Long Range Champion. Shawn Breuklander took third with 785-31. Match results.

Nebraska State Highpower Championship was won by Captain John Schwent of Missouri with a 774-21x followed by Iowans Shawn Breuklander with 766-24x and Steve Rasmussen with 766-20x. David Zwiener was high resident with 761-17x and is the 2005 Nebraska State Highpower Champion! Brian Smith shot a 755-16x to become the 2005 State Nebraska State Service Rifle Champion! Dennis Demille has won the 2005 NRA Highpower Rifle Championship with 2385-119x. Norm Houle was second with 2383-119x followed by David Tubb and Troy Lawton both with 2376-123x and Mitch Maxberry with 2371-96x. High Service Rifle and High Woman was Julia Watson, USMC with 2366-93x.

Iowa Highpower Rifle Championship was won by Minnesotan, Steve Erikson with 788-30x. Larry Walraven was second overall, high service rifle and Iowa State HP Rifle Champion with a score of 782-26x. David Kerin was close behind with 781-29x and was third overall. High Junior was Jake Plager.

Iowa Service Rifle Championship was won by Brad Trojanowski of Nebraska, shooting a 959-24x. Bill Besgrove, just a few points back with 956-22x, and High Iowan, is the 2005 Iowa State Service Rifle Champion. Saturday, Kevin Moore won the Leg match 480-05x and earned a 10 point leg, Corey Watts was second with 473.15x and won a 8 point leg.

Iowa Outdoor NRA 3 Position and 4 Position State Championships will be held at the West Liberty Gun Club on June 19th. Match Bulletin

Sierra Bullets is now listing the .224 90gr MatchKings forsale on their website. The bullets require a 1-6.5" twist barrel. Available in 50 count and 500 count boxes.

Van Meter Casey's Update from Sandy Kamp, Store Operations, Casey's General Stores, "Our new store will be at the same site and is slated to open the third week in July 2005".

Casey's General Store in Van Meter has been torn down to make way for a newer, better Casey's. I was not the only shooter to be dissapointed after crossing the bridge last weekend.

Iowa Spring Long Range was won by Steve Satern with a 798-47X, close behind were Bryan Quick with 794-40x and Truman Burch with 794-40x. High Service Rifle was Bob Crouse with 761-13x. Chuck Westberg was top Senior with 777-20x and High Junior was Jake Plager. Good shooting all. Match Results
